Poland national team squad announced for Nations League

Poland national team coach Jan Urban has announced a 26-man squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League Division B campaign. The team is scheduled to play four matches: two against Bosnia and Herzegovina, one against Sweden, and one against Romania.

The squad features established stars such as Robert Lewandowski, Piotr Zieliński, and Jakub Kiwior, alongside several newcomers and returning players. Notable inclusions are potential debutants Wojciech Mońka and Wiktor Nowak, as well as the return of Adrian Benedyczak and Kacper Urbański. Urban emphasized that while he intends to integrate younger talent, the priority remains competitive results to secure a path toward European Championship qualification.

Regarding Robert Lewandowski, Urban noted that the striker's involvement may be managed to ensure fitness, suggesting he might not play full 90-minute matches in every fixture. The selection has also drawn attention for the omission of several high-performing domestic players, including Karol Czubak and Bartosz Mazurek, whom Urban indicated are not yet at the required international level.
