Adam Březík leads Barum Czech Rally Zlín after Saturday stages

The 55th Barum Czech Rally Zlín, a round of the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC), has seen intense competition and several dramatic incidents. After the Saturday stages, Adam Březík holds the lead with a 9.7-second advantage over Mikołaj Marczyk. Teemu Suninen follows closely in third, trailing Březík by 11.3 seconds.

The event has been marked by significant setbacks for several top drivers. Czech rally legend Jan Kopecký was forced to withdraw from the competition after a stone hit his vehicle, damaging the brakes. Other drivers, including Filip Mareš and Filip Kohn, also faced mechanical issues or accidents during the high-speed stages.

Safety concerns were highlighted by a serious accident involving William Creighton and Liam Regan, which led to the cancellation of a special stage. Additionally, organizers have implemented traffic restrictions and adjusted service zones in Zlín due to ongoing demolition work on a local building.
