Bas-Rhin sub-prefect removed following management investigation
Cécile Rackette, the sub-prefect and chief of staff at the Bas-Rhin prefecture in Strasbourg, has been removed from her duties following an administrative investigation. Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez signed the decree, which was published on September 11 and will take effect on September 21.
The investigation was conducted by the Inspection générale de l’administration (IGA) following reports of “toxic management” and “moral harassment” within the prefectural administration. The inquiry sought to address a “climate of suffering” and behavioral issues reported to the DMATES.
While the investigation focused on management problems, testimonies also highlighted concerns regarding the conduct of the prefect, Amaury de Saint-Quentin, including allegations of “problematic and harassing attitude,” ostracization, and isolation within the administration.
