Basaseachi National Park showcases waterfalls during rainy season

Basaseachi National Park in Chihuahua is experiencing significant natural displays due to heavy rainfall, highlighting some of Mexico’s highest waterfalls. Located in the Sierra Tarahumara, the park offers various trekking routes and viewpoints.

Key landmarks include the Basaseachi waterfall, which features a 246-meter free fall, and the Piedra Volada waterfall near the town of Huajumar, which is primarily visible during the rainy season. Adventurers can traverse the Barranca de Candameña via the ‘La Ventana’ viewpoints or ascend La Peña del Gigante, a stone monolith standing 885 meters high, which serves as the highest lookout point in the area.
