Base Carbon reports Q2 2026 results and carbon credit sales
Base Carbon Inc. has announced its consolidated operational and financial results for the second quarter of 2026. The company reported approximately $0.4 million in cash proceeds from the sale of CORSIA-eligible carbon credits during the quarter, with an additional $1.9 million received following the quarter's end.
Key developments include the full CORSIA eligibility of approximately 0.9 million carbon credits from the company’s Rwanda cookstoves project, following tagging by Verra and submission by the Government of Rwanda. In Vietnam, the enactment of Decree No. 112/2026/ND-CP serves as an intermediary step toward approving the international sale of carbon credits from the company's local projects.
Additionally, the company noted proposed reforms by the European Commission to integrate CORSIA programs into the European Union Emissions Trading System, a move that has strengthened the pricing of CORSIA-eligible carbon credits. Base Carbon has also renewed its normal course issuer bid, authorizing the purchase of up to 6,264,560 common shares.
