Baseball updates: Song Chia-hao returns to NPB; Steel Eagles end losing streak

In Japanese professional baseball, Rakuten Eagles pitcher Song Chia-hao made his return to the first team on May 15. Pitching in relief during the 8th inning against the SoftBank Hawks, Song allowed three hits and two unearned runs in 0.2 innings. Despite his appearance, the Rakuten Eagles secured a 6-4 victory.

In Taiwan's CPBL, the Taiwan Steel Eagles ended a six-game losing streak by defeating the Chunghwa Telecom Brothers 11-4 in an extra-innings battle. The Eagles broke the deadlock in the top of the 10th inning with an eight-run surge. Steven Moya was named the game's MVP after recording two hits and two RBIs.
