Baseus launches PrimeSentinel U2 Pro solar security camera
Baseus has introduced the PrimeSentinel U2 Pro, a solar-powered outdoor security camera featuring a unique motorised spotlight designed to track detected individuals. Unlike standard floodlights that illuminate an entire area, this device projects a sharply defined beam of light onto a target to signal they have been spotted and to assist in capturing clear nighttime footage.
The camera utilizes two passive infrared (PIR) sensors and AI recognition to track movement. According to manufacturer specifications, the spotlight can follow people moving at speeds up to 1.8 metres per second (approximately a light jog) at distances between three and eight metres. It is also capable of tracking vehicles at distances up to eight metres.
Technical specifications include dual 3K cameras: one fixed 130-degree lens with 8x digital zoom and a second lens that pans 360 degrees and tilts. The device offers full-colour night vision and AI detection to distinguish between people, pets, and vehicles. It supports local storage via microSD cards up to 512GB with AES and RSA encryption, while cloud-based AI analysis requires a subscription. The camera is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
The PrimeSentinel U2 Pro is priced at $269.99 in the US and €269.99 in Europe, with availability through Amazon. Shipping is expected to begin in early November.
