BASF Agricultural Solutions to build new Climate Center in Germany

BASF Agricultural Solutions is investing a low double-digit million-euro amount to construct a new Climate Center at its headquarters in Limburgerhof, Germany. The facility is designed to strengthen the company’s research and regulatory capabilities, specifically to support the registration of crop protection products globally.

The purpose-built center will feature state-of-the-art climate chambers capable of providing precisely controlled environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, and light. These controlled environments will enable reproducible and scientifically robust ecotoxicology studies that comply with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.

Construction of the center has already begun, with completion expected in the first half of 2027. Some of the climate chambers will be dedicated to insecticide research, aiding in the discovery and screening of new crop protection solutions.
