BASF and CSIR-IICT launch chemistry and climate program in Hyderabad
BASF, in collaboration with the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), is conducting the BASF Kids’ Lab in Hyderabad from October 26 to 31, 2026. The initiative aims to engage 1,150 students from municipal schools through hands-on chemistry experiments and interactive learning activities.
Designed for children aged 8 to 12, the program focuses on fostering scientific curiosity while raising awareness about environmental sustainability and climate action. The Hyderabad edition is supported by the Education Department of the Government of Telangana, which assisted in identifying participating government schools.
Since its launch in India in 2004, the BASF Kids’ Lab has reached over 62,000 schoolchildren across the country. Following a relaunch in 2023 with an emphasis on climate protection, the program has expanded to various metropolitan cities and rural areas, including Chennai, Delhi, and the Nashik district.
