Bashkimi wins FIBA Europe Cup opener amid Kosovo Superliga highlights

Kosovo's Bashkimi basketball club has secured a dramatic 79-77 victory against Latvia's Valmiera Glass in their FIBA Europe Cup Group F opener. The match was decided in the final seconds when Divine Myles scored a two-point basket to clinch the win after a late tie by the visitors. Myles led the scoring for Bashkimi with 21 points, supported by Adrio Bailey and Jajuan Johnson.

This European success follows a strong domestic run for the Prizren-based team, which recently won the Kosovo Supercup.

On the domestic front, the Kosovo Superliga enters its fourth round this weekend. The marquee matchup features Bashkimi facing Bora in Prizren; both teams remain undefeated with three wins each, meaning only one can maintain a perfect record. Other scheduled fixtures include Trepça vs. Vëllaznimi, Golden Eagle Ylli vs. Peja, and Rahoveci vs. Sigal Prishtina.
