Basilica della Madonna di Tirano hosts 17th annual musical concert

The Basilica della Madonna di Tirano held the 17th edition of the Concerto dell’Apparizione on October 2, 2026. The event, part of the celebrations for the Feast of the Apparition, drew approximately 400 attendees.

The musical program featured a combination of a 17th-century organ, a brass quintet, and the Alpine horn. Musician Marco Brunelli performed on the organ, accompanied by a brass quintet including Tommaso Lodigiani, Leonardo Epis, Giuseppe Avella, Andrea Ziletti, and Mattia Siracusa. Samanta Paganini-Nussio performed on the Alpine horn.

The repertoire spanned from the 16th to the 20th century, featuring works by composers such as Giovanni Gabrieli, César Franck, Samuel Scheidt, Hans-Jürg Sommer, Gody, Hermann Studer, and Sigfrid Karg-Elert.
