Italy school year opening: leaders issue messages to students

As the new school year begins across Italy, various religious, political, and educational leaders have issued messages to students, teachers, and families.

They have urged students to seek depth beyond superficial internet content and to use education as a tool for social responsibility and overcoming intolerance.

Political leaders, such as the Mayor of Palermo and the President of the Marche Region, have highlighted the importance of schools in building future citizens and fostering local development. Meanwhile, educational organizations like FORMA and CENFOP are advocating for equal rights and the legal recognition of vocational training diplomas (IeFP) to ensure students can enter the workforce without unnecessary additional training requirements.
