Basilicata promotes regional tourism and food excellence in Milan
The Basilicata region is launching new initiatives to promote its culinary heritage and spiritual tourism. At Eataly Milano Smeraldo, the “Assapora la Basilicata” event showcased the region's agro-food excellence, featuring local producers of wines, cheeses, cured meats, and artisanal pasta. Michele Blasi, director of Alsia, emphasized that these efforts aim to transform regional biodiversity and traditional production into concrete market opportunities.
In a separate development announced at Palazzo Castiglioni, the GAL “La Cittadella del Sapere” introduced the “Basilicata Coast to Coast” spiritual path. Directed by Nicola Timpone, this project aims to connect 27 municipalities in the southern area, creating an itinerary that links religious sites, sanctuaries, and cultural landmarks from the Tyrrhenian to the Ionian Sea. The initiative seeks to promote a sustainable tourism model focused on quality and authenticity.
