Basilicata Rurale cluster initiative launched in Potenza

A new initiative to establish the Basilicata Rurale regional cluster has been launched in Potenza. The project aims to transform the resources of rural areas into an organized, recognizable, and competitive tourism offering.

Regional Councilor for Agricultural, Food, and Forestry Policies, Carmine Cicala, stated that while the region has gained a significant reputation for hospitality, there is vast potential to be unlocked through stable networks. The cluster intends to connect villages, agricultural production, landscapes, biodiversity, culture, and tourism services to create concrete experiences and opportunities for local businesses and communities.

The initiative is part of the CLUSTERATLAS4MED project, funded by the European Interreg NEXT MED program and coordinated by EXO. This broader project involves several countries, including Italy, Malta, Spain, Greece, Egypt, Tunisia, and Turkey.
