Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council introduces new waste collection schedules

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is implementing new waste collection schedules starting Monday, October 12, to comply with mandatory government waste reduction targets. Residents are receiving personalized collection calendars via mail to inform them of changes to their specific service days.

Under the new system, rubbish bins will be emptied every other week, alternating with recycling bins. Food waste caddies will maintain weekly collections, while glass will be collected on a fortnightly basis. The new calendars also include adjusted schedules for the upcoming festive period.
