Basingstoke and East Devon host bank holiday events

Various local events and activities are scheduled across Basingstoke and East Devon for the August Bank Holiday weekend.

In Basingstoke, local pubs are hosting themed events. Bartons Mill will present a production of ‘The Jungle Book’ in its riverside gardens. The Red Lion in Overton is hosting Carpark-Fest on August 30, featuring live music and classic cars to support local charities. Other venues include The Holly Blue in Beggarwood, which is hosting a ‘Naughties Night’, and The White Hart in the town centre, which will debut ‘The Open Mic Project’.

In East Devon, the Sidmouth Regatta and Airshow features the Red Arrows and various sailing races. Seaton is hosting a Carnival Week with activities including a walking trail, fishing competition, and a grand carnival procession. Other regional highlights include a Dire Straits tribute performance at The Beehive in Honiton and the inaugural Woodfest Music Festival at Woodbury Park.
