Basketball Champions League announces 30 clubs for 2026-27 season

FIBA released the complete roster of 30 clubs that have earned direct entry to the regular season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL) 2026‑27. The list features national champions and high‑placed teams from sixteen European nations; among the directly qualified clubs are Greece’s AEK and Peristeri Betsson, Turkey’s Galatasaray MCT Technic and Trabzonspor, as well as multiple clubs from Spain, France, Germany, Italy and other countries.

Two additional spots will be filled through qualifying tournaments staged 14‑20 September 2026, with 24 clubs competing for the places. The draw for the regular‑season groups and the qualifiers will be held on 8 July 2026 in Mies, Switzerland, and the regular season will kick off on 6 October 2026. The BCL champion will secure a berth in the newly created NBA Europe competition for the 2027‑28 season, and AEK remains the only team to have taken part in all eleven editions of the tournament.
