Basketball Club Lucca prepares for B Nazionale season

Basketball Club Lucca has held a press conference to outline its plans for the upcoming B Nazionale season. Following a successful previous campaign that secured promotion, the club is preparing for a competitive league consisting of 18 teams.

Key leadership figures, including President Matteo Benigni and Sporting Director Umberto Vangelisti, detailed the season structure. The championship is divided into two groups, with the top six teams advancing to the playoffs and teams ranked 7th through 12th entering the play-in stage. The season is scheduled to begin on September 27 and conclude on April 25.

The club has appointed Marco Evangelisti as the new head coach. The roster for the new season includes 13 players, consisting of eight returning members and five new additions: Carlo Balducci, Giovanni Cortellino, Andrea Colussa, Davide Pittana, and Ugandan pivot Megaye Seck. The team is also set to welcome back Damiano Sodini.
