Basketball Federation of Montenegro faces crisis after failed assembly session

An extraordinary elective session of the Basketball Federation of Montenegro (KSCG) failed to take place in Podgorica due to a lack of quorum. Out of 90 total delegates, only 44 were present, falling short of the 46 required to conduct business.

The session was intended to elect the new KSCG Assembly for a five-year term, as well as the president and vice-president of the body. General Secretary Darko Ivanović warned that the failure to hold the meeting has caused a loss of critical time needed to organize the upcoming competitive season.

Because procedural rules require at least 15 days to pass between sessions, the next meeting is tentatively expected to be scheduled for September 24. The administrative delay has placed the start dates for all national basketball competitions in Montenegro in doubt.
