The Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS) project, ‘Basketball is for Girls’, has been named the winner of the FIBA ‘Women Leaders’ program. Selected from ten global finalists, the project was presented in Berlin during the Women's World Cup.

Led by Tina Krajišnik, Sonja Vasić, and Aleksandra Crvendakić Ivanović, the initiative aims to introduce girls to basketball, connect them with local clubs, and provide mentorship and psychological support to encourage long-term participation. The first phase in Belgrade involved 745 girls across eight primary schools, utilizing former and current Serbian national team players as mentors.

As the winner, the project has secured future support from FIBA and a grant from Molten. These resources will be used to improve the existing model and expand the program from Belgrade to other regions across Serbia.
