Basketball player Britney Jones visits students in Dąbrowica

American basketball player Britney Jones, a point guard for Contimax MOSiR Bochnia, visited students at the Mikołaj Kopernik Primary School in Dąbrowica. During the informal meeting, Jones spoke about her athletic career and answered various questions from the students.

As a gesture of connection to her time playing in Poland, the students gave the Chicago-born athlete a Polish nickname, “Basia”. Jones has significant experience in the Polish Basket League, having previously played for teams such as Ślęza Wrocław, Zagłębie Sosnowiec, and AZS Politechnika Poznań.

The event, organized by coach Piotr Lizak, included a basketball shooting contest, autograph sessions, and photo opportunities with the players.
