Istanbul to Host Basketball Without Borders Next Up Camp in August 2026

The National Basketball Association (NBA), the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) announced that the Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Next Up men's camp will take place in Istanbul from 26 to 29 August 2026. The event will be held at the Turkcell Basketball Development Centre’s Ulker Youth Facility, bringing together 80 elite male high‑school players from around the world.

Participants will train under NBA and FIBA personnel including Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson, former NBA star Vlade Divac, former NBA player Danilo Gallinari, 2021 champion Brook Lopez, three‑time All‑Star Khris Middleton and 2023‑24 Defensive Team member Jalen Suggs. The program, marking the 25th anniversary of BWB, will feature athletic testing, skill stations, 3‑on‑3 and 5‑on‑5 games, and life‑skills seminars. A women’s BWB Next Up camp is scheduled for the autumn of 2026.

TBF President Hidayet Türkoğlu highlighted the project’s value for Turkish youth, noting that exposure to NBA and FIBA coaches and players will provide a significant learning experience and promote the growth of basketball in Turkey.
