Basque Country community and agricultural initiatives receive support

In the Basque Country, several community and agricultural initiatives are receiving support. The association Konpon Txoko, located in Bayonne, operates a solidarity thrift store and repair café. The organization offers various items such as books, furniture, and clothing at affordable prices while promoting sustainability through a repair workshop designed to extend the life of everyday objects.

The Communauté d'Agglomération Pays Basque (CAPB) has provided a subsidy of €153,332 to Konpon Txoko. Additionally, the CAPB is supporting small-scale farming to aid regional development. In Beyrie-sur-Joyeuse, Maialen Aguer, who operates an organic sheep meat and market gardening farm, received a €3,000 subsidy.

Local tourism also features organized activities, such as an electric mountain bike tour through the Ordiarp and Musculdy valleys, which includes views of the Saint-Antoine chapel.
