Basque Country: Protests held in 26 towns over housing rights

The youth organization Ernai organized demonstrations across 26 towns in the Basque Country to demand comprehensive solutions to the housing crisis and to oppose far-right political movements.

Protesters gathered in locations such as Errenteria-Orereta, calling for housing to be treated as a fundamental right rather than a business tool for profit. The organization expressed concern that current socio-economic models lead to increased precariousness for citizens.

These mobilizations also serve as a response to the upcoming Spanish elections scheduled for November 29. Ernai stated that the demonstrations are a necessary reaction against the potential rise of far-right governments composed of the PP and Vox parties.
