Basque cultural festivals DalecandELA and Iturritik announced

Two cultural festivals are scheduled to take place in the Basque region. The fifth edition of DalecandELA Fest will be held in Getxo from September 17 to 20. This music festival, which supports research and awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), is introducing a second stage to expand its musical offerings. The lineup includes artists such as Duncan Dhu, Quique González, and Kiko Veneno. The event also features sports and wellness activities, including a swimming crossing for ALS.

Additionally, the fifth edition of the Iturritik festival will take place in Donostia from October 23 to 25. The event focuses on the dialogue between tradition and contemporary creation, featuring Basque dance, circus arts, acrobatic tango, and pole dance. Performances will involve artists from the Basque Country, Argentina, France, and Japan, with venues including the Teatro Victoria Eugenia and Plaza Okendo.
