Basque Country announces 593 police vacancies

The Basque Government has launched a public employment offer for 593 positions within the regional security forces. This recruitment drive includes 430 roles for the Ertzaintza and 163 positions for local police forces across 37 Basque municipalities.

The initiative is part of a long-term employment plan aimed at increasing the Ertzaintza workforce to 8,000 officers by 2030. The recruitment process, which is the seventh joint call under the Euskal Polizia framework, allows for applicants aged 18 to 38 with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Applications are open until November 26. The selection process will involve psychotechnical tests, knowledge exams, physical aptitude tests, and personal interviews. Candidates may choose to take the examinations in either Basque or Spanish.
