Basque Government announces health promotion grants for local entities

The Basque Government has approved a plan to provide financial support to municipalities and local organizations to promote health and well-being. Under the 2030 Basque Health Plan and the commitments of the Basque Health Pact, the Department of Health will allocate 250,000 euros in 2026 to support participation-based projects.

Grants will range from 7,000 to 13,000 euros for beneficiary organizations. These funds aim to reduce health inequalities, strengthen social cohesion, and improve individual and collective capacities for well-being. The initiative targets local governments, their autonomous entities, and local commercial societies to develop community-centered projects that address specific local needs.
