Bassa Modenese photography exhibition to open at Il Pico

The Osservatorio Fotografico Bassa Modenese will inaugurate its fifth photography exhibition, titled ‘Frazioni’, on September 12 at the Il Pico Cultural Center.

The exhibition features seven photographers—Leonardo Addabbo, Luigi Barbieri, Valentina Bergamini, Donatella Bucci, Maurizio Goldoni, Ivo Guzzinati, and Giancarlo Polacchini—who aim to document the small centers of the Bassa Modenese region. The project focuses on the transformations these towns have undergone, specifically highlighting the 2012 earthquake as a major turning point that altered the landscape through the destruction of civil and industrial buildings and the loss of rural architectural heritage.
