Basse-sur-le-Rupt motorcycle trial authorized for September 2026

The prefecture of Vosges has authorized the ‘Trial de Basse-sur-le-Rupt’ motorcycle trial event, organized by the Moto Verte des Hautes-Vosges Trial club. The competition is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The authorization follows a review of the proposal and a favorable opinion from the departmental road safety commission. To ensure the event proceeds safely, organizers must implement a significant security apparatus, including signalers at intersections and an operational first aid post throughout the duration of the event. Emergency vehicle access must remain unobstructed at all times.

Due to the course passing through forested areas, the prefecture has imposed strict environmental protections. These include mandatory adherence to the designated route, a prohibition on entering waterways, and the use of appropriate marking to protect wetlands. Additionally, parking is prohibited near drinking water catchment protection zones, and organizers must be equipped to respond immediately to any accidental hydrocarbon leaks or pollution.
