Bastia Umbra hosts 64th Palio de San Michele festivities

The 64th edition of the Palio de San Michele in Bastia Umbra has progressed through its parade phase, with the Rione San Rocco concluding the four nights of parades in Piazza Mazzini with the performance ‘COMMEDIA IN TRE ATTI’. Following the parades, nominations have been announced for the ‘Monica Petrini’ award, the ‘Stella Nascente’ award, and the ‘Miglior Carro’ award, with winners to be proclaimed on September 28.

The competition continues with ‘I Giochi in Piazza’ on September 26, where the four Rioni—Moncioveta, Portella, San Rocco, and Sant’Angelo—will compete in events including tug-of-war, sack races, tandem races, and the ‘Palo della cuccagna’. The festivities also include youth-oriented events such as the Rion Mini Sport and the 34th Minipalio.
