Bastia Umbra issues health ordinance after Manini Prefabbricati fire

Following a fire at the Manini Prefabbricati SpA plant in Bastia Umbra on October 13, Mayor Erigo Pecci has issued an urgent public health ordinance. Based on guidance from ARPA Umbria and USL Umbria 1, the measures are intended to protect the local population.

The ordinance includes a ban on the collection and consumption of locally grown food products, as well as a prohibition on grazing animals and using outdoor-grown forage or cereals for livestock within the designated area. Additionally, outdoor activities, particularly sports and leisure, were restricted until the afternoon of October 14.

These precautionary measures will remain in effect until environmental and sanitary safety conditions are restored, pending further technical assessments by regional health and environmental agencies.
