Bastian Laffitte joins Euskaltel-Euskadi feeder team

Young cycling prospect Bastian Laffitte has decided to join BBK-Euskadi, the feeder team for the professional Euskaltel-Euskadi squad, through the Fundación Euskadi project.

Laffitte, who previously competed with Team Iparralde, reportedly turned down interest from several WorldTour development programs, including Visma, Decathlon, and Tudor, to pursue this long-term developmental path. The decision emphasizes a focus on gradual professional growth and academic balance, as Laffitte intends to continue his Computer Science studies at the University of Pau while competing.

Laffitte described the move as the ‘most logical option’ to continue his development within the Basque cycling structure.
