Bastille Brasserie & Bar celebrates 20 years in Alexandria

Bastille Brasserie & Bar is celebrating its 20th anniversary in Alexandria, Virginia, with a month of special events throughout September. Opened in 2006 by chefs and owners Christophe and Michelle Poteaux, the independently owned restaurant focuses on approachable French cooking using seasonal Mid-Atlantic ingredients.

To mark the milestone, the establishment is hosting a series of anniversary dinners, including a special ‘Icons at 20’ event on September 17 featuring a multi-course menu that traces the restaurant's culinary history. Additionally, the restaurant is offering ‘The 20.06 List,’ a rotating selection of wines priced at $20.06 to honor its founding year.

The anniversary also marks a significant transition for the staff, as Noemi Zelaya, the restaurant’s longest-serving employee, is set to retire on September 18.
