Bastion and BUNTIN merge to form global independent agency network

Independent agencies Bastion and BUNTIN have announced a merger to create a global independent agency network operating in the United States under the name BastionBUNTIN. The deal unites Australia- and New Zealand-based Bastion with Nashville-based BUNTIN, positioning the new entity as an alternative to traditional advertising holding companies.

The combined network will consist of more than 400 staff members across nine offices, including locations in Nashville, Los Angeles, New York, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Auckland, and Wellington. Nashville is designated as the primary hub for North American operations.

Leadership roles for the new structure include Cheuk Chiang as leader of the parent network and Jeff Browe as CEO of BastionBUNTIN. Jeffrey Buntin Jr. will serve as U.S. co-chairman and join the Bastion global board. The merger aims to provide end-to-end capabilities in brand strategy, creative, media, communications, PR, digital, insights, and experience.
