Bastogne and Besançon host upcoming music festivals

The Synapse Festival is set to debut in Bastogne, Belgium, on September 4 and 5, 2026. Organized by Ward’in Rock ASBL, the event will take place at the Parade Ground of the former military barracks. The festival focuses on emerging artists, featuring live electronic and techno music on Friday and an eclectic program on Saturday. The organizers emphasize local economic ties by working primarily with regional partners and products.

In France, the 79th edition of the Besançon International Music Festival will run from September 11 to 20, 2026. The program includes over 30 concerts featuring approximately 600 artists, with a strong emphasis on symphonic music. Notable participants include the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and various soloists such as Leif Ove Andsnes. The festival will also feature world music, jazz, and works by composer Régis Campo.
