BAT Japan launches glo Hyper pro+ and announces stick price revision

British American Tobacco (BAT) Japan has announced the nationwide release of its new heated tobacco device, the ‘glo Hyper pro+’, starting August 17. Available at convenience stores and official online stores for 2,980 yen, the device features ‘QuickStart technology’, which allows for automatic and high-speed heating, reaching readiness in approximately 10 seconds. The device includes an ‘EasyView screen’ to monitor battery life, heating modes, and cleaning notifications, and it can be connected to the ‘myglo’ app for device tracking and personalization.

Additionally, BAT Japan has announced a retail price revision for its glo-specific tobacco sticks, effective October 1, 2026. The price adjustment will apply to all brands within the glo HYPER series, including ‘neo’, ‘KENT’, and ‘LUCKY STRIKE’, as well as the ‘virto’ sticks for the glo Hilo series. This revision has received price approval from the Ministry of Finance.
