Baterias Moura to showcase solar battery solutions amid Brazil's distributed generation growth
The expansion of distributed generation in Brazil is increasing the strategic importance of battery storage for photovoltaic installations. Batteries allow solar energy to be used according to consumption profiles rather than just during sunlight hours, effectively turning variable solar resources into programmable ones.
According to the Empresa de Pesquisa Energética (EPE), micro and mini distributed generation accounted for 5.6% of the country's electricity generation and approximately 13% of captive market consumption in 2024. This growth highlights the need to manage the gap between energy production and consumption times.
Baterias Moura will showcase its line of batteries for photovoltaic systems at Intersolar South America 2026, held at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo from August 25 to 27. Integrating batteries can increase self-consumption, reduce demand peaks, and maintain critical loads during power interruptions.
