Batha-Est officials launch peace mission in Oum-Hadjer

A delegation of officials from the Batha-Est region, led by former minister Hissein Ahmat Senoussi, traveled to Oum-Hadjer on September 4, 2026, to conduct a peace mission. The visit follows recent tragic events and aims to express solidarity with bereaved families while promoting reconciliation among local communities.

The delegation emphasized the necessity of intercommunal dialogue to establish trust and peaceful coexistence. During the mission, members met with the Prefect of Batha-Est, Nadjileme Francis, to discuss concrete initiatives and programs designed to foster social cohesion and bridge community fractures.
