Bathroom hygiene tips for maintaining cleanliness and reducing deep cleaning time

Maintaining bathroom hygiene involves identifying overlooked areas that collect moisture, grime, or bacteria. An NSF study on household germs highlighted that toothbrush holders are significant sources of contamination, with 27% testing positive for coliform bacteria.

To avoid time-consuming weekend deep cleans, some suggest implementing a daily 30-second routine. This method involves using disinfectant wipes to quickly clean high-touch surfaces such as the toilet seat, toilet base, counters, and sinks. Frequent, small clean-ups can prevent the buildup of limescale and mold, reducing the need for intensive weekly maintenance.
