Lochie Dalton targets Bathurst 1000 victory
Lochie Dalton is preparing for his second Bathurst 1000, competing for Erebus Motorsport alongside co-driver Cooper Murray. The 24-year-old driver from Launceston aims to become one of the few Tasmanians to win Australia’s premier motor race.
In addition to the Bathurst 1000, Dalton is currently leading the Super2 category by 69 points, having secured multiple wins this season. He enters the weekend with the goal of maximizing his performance in both the 1000-kilometre event and the Super2 championship.
Separately, ten-year-old Jesse Hawkins has begun his racing career as a third-generation driver. Following in the footsteps of his father, grandfather, and uncles, Hawkins will compete in a Toyota Corolla Junior Sedan using the number 6, continuing a family legacy at the local speedway.
