Bathurst palliative care staff launch bereavement support group
Palliative care nurse Rebecca McLeod and social worker Angela Grayling have established a bereavement support group in Bathurst to provide community for those grieving the loss of loved ones.
The initiative was developed to address a gap in support following the conclusion of palliative care services, where families often felt isolated after receiving initial condolences. The group offers a space for individuals to find mutual comfort and connection.
Following initial six-week sessions, members of the group have continued to meet for social activities, including lunches and a group trip to Canberra.
