Bathurst Panthers win under-18 Tom Nelson premiership

The Bathurst Panthers secured the under-18 Tom Nelson premiership following a dramatic finish at Spooner Oval. Despite playing much of the second half with an ankle injury, Charlie Fischbeck scored a decisive try in the final seconds of the grand final against the Forbes Magpies.

The play began when a Bathurst winger attempted to throw the ball back into play, but it bounced off a Magpies defender and remained in play. After a referee review, Fischbeck was awarded the try, which deadlocked the scores. Riley Carter then successfully converted a sideline kick in the dying seconds to clinch the title for the Panthers.
