Batik Seri MADANI and MFIX initiatives aim to boost Malaysian creative economy

Two new initiatives, Batik Seri MADANI and the Malaysia Film Industry Expo (MFIX), have been proposed to bolster Malaysia's creative economy and create high-value employment opportunities for youth. The proposals were presented to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the inauguration of the FINAS Tower.

MFIX is envisioned as a national ecosystem hub and digital platform designed to connect young content creators, animators, and technical specialists directly with international producers, investors, and buyers. The platform aims to include job portals, industrial training, and pitching hubs to bridge the gap between talent and the global market.

Batik Seri MADANI focuses on the commercialization of traditional batik heritage by integrating traditional block techniques with contemporary design and digital technology. The initiative seeks to develop a new generation of young batik artists, designers, and creative entrepreneurs capable of scaling products for broader markets.
