BATIMAT 2026 is scheduled to open on September 28 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles with an inaugural conference focused on the transformations within the building and construction sector.
The event will address critical industry shifts, including the acceleration of building renovation, decarbonization, evolving usage patterns, and the rise of digital technologies. The opening session will feature a dialogue between 2025 Nobel Prize winner in Economics Philippe Aghion and architect Franklin Azzi. They will discuss how to accelerate the transformation of the built environment to meet environmental, economic, and societal demands.
Key topics for discussion include industrial innovation, reindustrialization, building performance, resource sobriety, and adaptation to new uses. The conference will also include a panel featuring Jean-Christophe Repon (President of CAPEB), Frédéric Carré (President of the Fédération Française du Bâtiment), and Benoît Bazin (Director General of Saint-Gobain).
