Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 debuts July 31 with new Joker voice and Amazon Luna game
Prime Video will launch the second season of the animated noir series Batman: Caped Crusader on July 31, 2026, streaming worldwide in more than 240 territories. The season introduces Matthew Needham – known for House of the Dragon – as the voice of the Joker, while Wunmi Mosaku takes over as the re‑imagined Roxy Rocket with a darker backstory. The release was announced at the San Diego Comic‑Con panel, which also unveiled an exclusive cloud‑gaming title, Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles, for Amazon Luna. The cooperative game lets one to four players assume detectives in Gotham’s special GCPD unit, solving eleven episodic investigations and facing villains such as Scarecrow, Babyface, the Tweedle brothers, the Dollmaker, Music Meister and the Joker, voiced by Needham. No hardware or downloads are required; smartphones serve as controllers. The game is available at no extra cost to Prime members on Luna in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium and Luxembourg, synchronising with the series premiere for a seamless watch‑and‑play experience.
