Batman Day 2026 celebrations announced in Japan

Warner Bros. Japan has announced a series of events and broadcasts to celebrate ‘Batman Day 2026’ on September 19. Under the theme ‘RULE THE NIGHT’, the celebrations include a variety of media and retail experiences.

Cartoon Network will host a five-night Batman special from September 19 to September 23. This programming features the Japanese premiere of four animated films: ‘Batman: Assault on Arkham’, ‘Batman: Bad Blood’, ‘Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, and ‘Batman: Hush’. The lineup also includes episodes of ‘Batwheels’ and ‘Teen Titans Go!’.

In retail, a pop-up store titled ‘BATMAN DAY 2026 – LIGHT & SHADOW POP-UP STORE’, produced by the creative association CEKAI, will run at Shibuya Tsutaya from September 16 to October 7. The store will feature themed merchandise, including apparel and stadium cups designed with ‘light and shadow’ concepts. Additionally, a special fan event is scheduled in Tokyo for September 19, and a 4K screening of the 1989 film ‘Batman’ will be held.
