Batman: Knightfall – Part 1 dominates digital streaming charts

The animated film ‘Batman: Knightfall – Part 1’ has emerged as a top performer on digital streaming charts. Following its digital release on August 25, 2026, the film reached the No. 2 position on the iTunes Top Movies chart, making it the highest-charting new release on the platform.

Directed by Jeff Lemire with a script by Jeremy Adams, the film adapts the 1990s DC Comics saga. The voice cast includes Anson Mount as Bruce Wayne, Michael Mando, and Pablo Schreiber. The plot depicts an exhausted Batman facing a mass breakout at Arkham Asylum orchestrated by Bane, eventually leading to the hero yielding his mantle to Jean-Paul Valley, also known as Azrael.

In contrast, the Alan Ritchson-led action film ‘Motor City’ is struggling on digital platforms. Currently sitting at No. 7 on the iTunes chart, the film follows a difficult theatrical release where it earned approximately $1.6 million domestically during its opening weekend against a $30 million production budget.
