Batman Municipality conducts city-wide pest control operations

The Batman Municipality Veterinary Affairs Directorate is conducting extensive pest control operations across the city to protect public health. Teams are working day and night to combat mosquitoes, houseflies, and other pests that increase due to seasonal conditions.

The initiative focuses on both adult insect spraying and the prevention of new breeding sites. Crews are inspecting and treating various locations, including parks, green spaces, playgrounds, streets, garbage container areas, canals, infrastructure points, manholes, and drains.

By identifying and intervening at larval sources such as standing water and drainage systems, the municipality aims to control pest populations at an early stage. These efforts are intended to ensure a healthier and more comfortable living environment for citizens in high-traffic areas, including public institutions and healthcare facilities.
