Turkey reports multiple traffic accidents and driver arrests

Multiple traffic incidents and a legal confrontation have been reported across various regions in Turkey.

In Bursa, an intoxicated female driver traveling in the wrong direction caused chaos in the Osmangazi district. After being stopped by police, the driver, who identified herself as an artist, resisted arrest, insulted journalists, and attacked a police vehicle. She also reportedly feigned unconsciousness before running into oncoming traffic, narrowly avoiding being hit by vehicles. The driver has been arrested, while her companion was released.

Several fatal and injurious accidents occurred on major roads. In Tekirdağ, a minibus collided with a truck on the TEM Highway, resulting in one death and one serious injury. In Batman, a vehicle lost control on the TPAO Boulevard, leaving four people injured. In Aydın, a three-car pileup at the İzmir Boulevard highway junction injured three people. Additionally, in Ankara, a collision between a car and a concrete mixer left five people injured, including one in critical condition.

Authorities in all locations have launched investigations into the causes of these accidents and the conduct of the individuals involved.
