Rather than relying solely on individual echolocation, bats can pick up on information generated by the activity of nearby individuals. This allows them to locate concentrated swarms of insects more quickly, increasing foraging efficiency.

In Poland, all bat species are protected. They serve as natural allies in managing nuisance insects, operating during the night when insectivorous birds are inactive. Experts, including the General Directorate for Environmental Protection, suggest that creating diverse, less sterile garden environments can support these nocturnal hunters, fostering a balanced ecosystem.
